Biography – Dan Madden

Dan Madden is the Assistant Customer Support & Development Specialist for Tealinc, Ltd. Dan was born and raised in Springfield, Oregon-GO DUCKS!! – and attended Thurston High School in Springfield, Oregon. After completion of high school, Dan joined the Marine Corp. Semper Fi.

Dan served 8 years in the Marine Corp. The first 4 years of service he was stationed in Camp Lejeune North Carolina as an Anti-Tank Missile Gunner in which he participated in exercises in Korea, Guam, Okinawa Japan, Diego Garcia and the Tinian Islands. After 4 years as a gunner Dan was re-enlisted and became an Instructor at the School of Infantry at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base, in which they trained Marines coming directly out of boot camp the basic skills of their assigned military occupation duties before they went to their permanent station of duties. After 8 years of service Dan returned home to Springfield.

In 1989, he joined ITEL Rail as a carman at the repair facility in Springfield, Oregon performing all types of mechanical repairs, from basic mechanical repairs to heavy wreck repairs. In 1993 the Greenbrier Companies purchased the repair facility. After 6 years of service as a carman Dan was promoted to the Quality Control Team performing in process inspections, inbound inspection and outbound inspections.

In 1995, Dan was promoted to the Billing Supervisor Position in which he managed the inspection and invoicing departments. In 2014 the Greenbrier Companies and Watco entered into a joint venture to become GBW Railcar Services, the largest railcar repair network in the United States. In 2015, Dan assumed the role as the GBW Railcar AAR Estimating and Billing Supervisor where he worked until 2018.

In Dan’s spare time, he enjoys fishing, playing golf, camping on the Oregon coast, riding quads and showing off his 1968 Chevelle at the local car shows and cruises.
