Emma Blakely

Congratulations to Emma Blakely for winning one of two scholarships awarded by Tealinc, Ltd. in 2019.

“Hello, my name is Emma Blakely, and I am a senior at Hellgate High School in Missoula, Montana. During my high school career, I have been very involved in my school community. I have been a member of student council, key club, DECA, and have served as a student ambassador for three years. A memorable accomplishment during high school, was during my sophomore year, I was elected to be a member of Governor Bullock’s Leadership Council. During the year I served as a part of the Leadership Council, I developed a project to help combat childhood hunger issues in the state of Montana. I raised several thousand dollars which allowed me to purchase a refrigerator and freezer for my high school that was then stocked with fresh produce. This food was specifically for students who struggle to have enough to eat. This project was significant for me because I learned about how widespread childhood hunger issues are in the state of Montana.

In the fall, I will attend Montana State University, Billings and plan to study business and finance. In addition, I will play basketball for the MSUB Yellowjackets.

Thank you to Tealinc Ltd. for the generous scholarship. I am both honored and grateful to be a recipient of this award.”
